What are Rulers requirements?

Rulers for Mac requires Mac OS X 10.4 or higher.
Rulers for Win requires Windows XP or higher.

What are the limitations for the unregistered version?

Rulers are limited to a maximum of two horizontal and two vertical.
Unregistered watermark on screenshots.
Random unregistered message while measuring.

Installation & registration

What is the Activation Key (AID)?

When purchasing Rulers, you'll receive an Activation Key (AID) bound to your e-mail address.
The License Key lets you use Rulers without any nag screens and other limitations.

What is changed in Rulers' licensing?

Starting with Rulers version 2.4 the Activation Key isn't bound to a unique Installation ID (IID) anymore; it's bound to your e-mail address.

Can I use Rulers on more than one computer/operating system?

Sure. You can install each license on all your computers or operating systems.

I have already registered Rulers using my IID. How can I obtain a new license bound to my e-mail address?

Contact us providing your License Key and you'll get a new License Key bound to the e-mail address you used when you purchased Rulers.
Otherwise you can keep using your License Key bound to your computer.
